WISDOM YOGA In The Hills
In The Hill's Wisdom Yoga class offers a class for those who are 60 or older and are looking for a more therapeutic approach to their Yoga practice. Libby uses her knowledge of various forms of Hatha Yoga asana (postures), anatomy and physiology, kenesiology, and the energy systems of the body to develop unique class sequences. This class utilizes various props like blocks, straps, and chairs to assist in finding an appropriate version of a posture to accommodate for any limitations the body may present. Sequences for this class will never bring a student on their knees. So, it's post knee replacement friendly! 😃
Each class begins with intention focusing and breath work. Next is the active part of the sequence, guiding students though a mixture of static held and flowing postures. The class always ends with Savasana (corpse pose), where students are given the opportunity for relaxation with awareness.
