Aromatherapy for the Winter Months.
The season of winter can be rough on us
both emotionally and physically. The shorter days and colder weather can bring our moods down, while being in enclosed spaces with other humans can spread colds, flus and other illness. We can easily use aromatherapy to boost our moods, boost our immune systems and fight germs in our enviroment.
We all can use a mood boost and essential oils are the perfect way to give us a quick dose of happiness and energy. Oils can be used in a diffuser, added to a homemade room spray, included in a body oil, or immersed in a personal inhaler. No matter the method of using an oil the following scents are known to boost mood while some also get energy levels For mood and energy try lemon, peppermint, wild orange, rosemary and cinnamon, For just mood boosting try lavender, jasmine and frankincense.
Booting immune system:
To help boost your immune system try the following in a diffuser or personal inhaler. Eucalyptus, rosemary, oregano, and cinnamon.
Research on essential oils has shown that many have specific antiviral and antibacterial effects. This makes essential oils perfect ingredients to include in homemade cleansers and air freshers. A few oils that help suppress or kill germs are wild orange, clove, cinnamon, eucalyptus, rosemary, tea tree, and thyme.
